Belarus – Day 2

So yesterday we visited another 7 children & again more eye opening situations. We revisited little Kira & managed to get a few words from her which was a huge step forward & we’ll see her again on Sunday when I’m hoping for a hug. ? Another beautiful little girl Nastya who stays out in the villages was living in the most awful conditions, probably one of the worse I’ve experienced. ☹️ The last family we visited was our twins. I’m so excited to have twins in our group & they are just adorable as is their little siste.r ? It was a long & tiring day but it was amazing to finally meet all of our children. This afternoon I need to think about matching them with their host families as tomorrow we’ll revisit them all to pass on their letters. Exciting!!!!!

This morning I visited 3 lovely families with disabled children. I’ve met little Dima, Vika & Ksenia before & they have a special place in my heart. It’s such a pleasure to support these families & I know how much our help is appreciated. We took some special sensory toys for them which are very difficult to find here.

In the afternoon we went to see my Zarina & her family. It was so nice to see my girl but it was always going to be an emotional afternoon after the loss in October of little Sasha, her brother, to cancer. ? Life is just so cruel sometimes!!!

Tonight I’ll meet up with all my fantastic Belarusian friends & I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone ?❤️
